We built Moments to make it easy for you to share anywhere you want.
You can either share quickly with our in-app share wizard to YouTube, Discord, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, and Gyfcat (we will be adding more).
Or you can export your clip manually and upload it anywhere else you see fit.
GG is our new software hub where you can find all your favorite SteelSeries applications such as Moments, Sonar, 3D Aim Trainer & Engine.
With GameSense, Moments can automatically save clips for you and get timeline events in the video clip editor.
Events like multi-kills, kills while low health, or stealing an objective in League of Legends will be auto-clipped for you. You will also see events appear on your Moments timeline such as kills, objectives, and round win/losses.
Auto-clipping is available on all major titles such as: Apex Legends, Brawlhalla, Call of Duty, CS:GO, Destiny 2, Diablo IV, Dota 2, Fall Guys, Fortnite, Genshin Impact, League of Legends, MultiVersus, Overwatch 2, Rocket League and Valorant. New games are frequently added.
Moments offers both the Game capture and Screen capture options for your recordings. Game capture directly captures only the game window. If you alt-tab or minimize it won't show your desktop and will just show a still frame of your game. After you return the gameplay will resume. Game capture is the default capture method for most games.
Screen capture will record everything on the monitor your game is on, even if you alt-tab. This is the default capture method for some games that imposive limitation on third party game capture, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Yes! We made sure that Moments allows you to clip gameplay while also streaming at the same time using a tool like OBS. Just press your Moments capture button and you should hear the familiar ding when you successfully capture a clip.
Virtually all games are supported for clipping.
Apex Legends, Brawlhalla, Call of Duty, CS:GO, Destiny 2, Diablo IV, Dota 2, Fall Guys, Fortnite, Genshin Impact, League of Legends, MultiVersus, Overwatch 2, Rocket League and are all auto-clip supported. This means all of your Moments will be saved even if you forget to press your keybind. We will add more in the future but you’ll need to manually clip other games for now.
Yes! After you capture your clip you can edit the timeline by cutting imperfections off the beginning and end.
After you have the perfect clip you can upload it to your favorite platform.
The GG client allows you to select where you'd like your Moments saved.
While in the GG client find your way to "Settings" -> "Storage". You can then select your desired location for all saved clips.
If you don’t want to use an app such as Moments, you can turn it off in the settings. When turned off it will not effect your performance and will not run in the background.
The same goes for SteelSeries Engine. If you don’t have a SteelSeries device plugged in, the Engine application inside GG will not be running in the background.
To turn Moments off you can do either of the following:
1. Click the dropdown menu above the Moments gallery and turn off “Gameplay capture”
2. Go to Settings -> Capture and Sound -> Turn off “Allow Moments to capture while gaming”
