All SteelSeries products have parts that can be recycled and repurposed. You can help by taking your electronics, not just SteelSeries products, to local retailers and drop-off points to ensure they are processed properly.
THE PROBLEM
E-waste is one of the fastest growing global waste streams. In fact, the world produces around 50 million tons of E-waste every year. That’s the equivalent weight of almost 4,500 Eiffel Towers.
It’s estimated that less than 20% of global e-waste gets properly recycled. Improper or illegal disposal can lead to environmental pollution and affect the health of communities living near waste sites. (source: https://www.wbcsd.org/contentwbc/download/6469/93115/1)
The electronics we create also contain precious commodities like gold and lithium that have taken a lot of energy and effort to extract/produce and still have great value at the end of the product’s life. We need to keep these materials in circulation so they can be re-used rather than needing to start all over again, sourcing them from scratch.
